Lamrim City-Retreat

  • Nordisk Kadampa Meditasjonssenter 26 Majorstuveien Oslo, 0367 Norway (map)

A happy and meaningful life through the practice of Lamrim

Six days of meditating on the stages of the path to enlightenment as explained in the book Mirror of Dharma by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche.

With the special and practical views and insights gained from Lamrim meditation we can become capable of transforming all our experiences into meaningful teachings that will protect us from problems and make our mind calm and happy.

On this retreat we will meditate on the five stages of the path of the initial scope (precious human life, death, danger of lower rebirth, going for refuge, karma) and relying on our Spiritual Guide. These topics will help us develop a pure and powerful spiritual practice that will bring great benefits.

Gen Dragpa will in each session explain the particular meditation for that session and after the Prayers for Meditation he will guide us to the meditation object.

The aim of this meditation retreat is to learn to control and improve our mind and gain deeper levels of inner peace and happiness. Everybody, Buddhist or non-Buddhist, can benefit from these meditations because Kadam Dharma accords with people’s everyday experiences.
