  • You are warmly invited to our Open House at Kadampa Meditation Centre Oslo, our peaceful and inspiring location in Majorstuen.

    Enjoy our beautiful meditation room with free public talks, guided meditations by Gen Kelsang Dragpa principal teacher at the KMC Oslo and other teachers and students at the meditation center.

    There will be short talks in English and Norwegian throughout the day. You can enjoy our beautiful sitting area, where you can relax and talk with a few of our volunteers and other course participants.

    We will serve waffles, you can watch videos about our tradition of modern Kadampa buddhism and be guided through our meditation center.

    This is a perfect day to stop by and check us out!

    • Gen Kelsang Dragpa is the Resident Teacher at Kadampa meditasjonssenter Oslo, and National Spiritual Director for the Nordic Region.

      He has been practising and teaching Kadampa Buddhism for many years and has been an ordained monk since 1993.

      His way of teaching is very practical and easy to understand.

    • 10:30 - Door opens

    • 11:00-12:00 - A calm and joyful mind through meditation (with Gen Kelsang Dragpa)

    • 12:00-13:00 - Guided tours, videos, waffles

    • 13:30-14:15 -Medfølelse - universell svar, universell løsning (på norsk med Keslang Virya)

    • 15:15-16:00 Guided meditation in English

    • 16:00-18:00 Chanted prayers

    • Course in English and Norwegian

      Suitable to all levels of experience.

    • How should I dress for class?
      No special clothing is required. Come as you are.

    • What do I need to bring to class?
      Nothing! But if you wish to take notes, please bring a pen and notepad.
